How We Support
Grantmaking
The Civic Responsibility Project provides financial support via 501(c)(3) grant contributions to a select group of organizations that are:
Committed to strengthening American democracy by making civic participation a celebrated and accessible part of everyday American life, without regard for partisan concerns.
Prioritizing the success of business and influencer partnership programs and satisfaction of partners to drive further growth and success of the sector.
Pursuing business and influencer partnerships in deep collaboration with Civic Responsibility Project staff, advisors, and fellow grantees, being transparent about partnership targets, active conversations, and relationships that may be helpful for other organizations.
Willing to work in partnership with Civic Responsibility Project to conduct an organizational assessment of needs and program capacity.
Willing to provide one seat on the organization's board of directors to a Civic Responsibility Project representative.
Willing to provide a deep level of transparency into financial, governance, and program plans and reports to maximize the full suite of support we can offer.
Offering services or programming at a national level, or in specific targeted areas of need.
Strategic Support
Civic Responsibility Project is also committed to ensuring grantee organizations and staff have the skills, knowledge, relationships, and resources needed to fulfill each mission. After years of doing this work, we know that powerful capacity-building helps leaders and organizations deliver stronger programs, take risks, build connections, innovate, and iterate.
Once selected as a Civic Responsibility Project grantee, organizations will have access to in-kind leadership, organizational, communications, and partnership development support from our vast network of partners, consultants, and advisors. We will provide customized capacity specific to the needs of your organization in addition to providing opportunities to coordinate and collaborate with other program members. This can include:
Strategic advising on program design and implementation.
Public relations, social media, and graphic design consulting.
Leadership training programs and webinars.
Introductions, networking, and access to exclusive events to build relationships with other Civic Responsibility Project nonprofit, influencer, and brand partners.
Assistance in cultivating a collaborative mindset and capacity to create and sustain strategic alliances.

If you are interested in being considered for our program, please contact us with a description of your organization and the support you are seeking. If your program aligns with the mission and goals of Civic Responsibility Project, we may extend an application.
The Civic Responsibility Project will review proposals on an ongoing basis and notify organizations of a decision within 30 days of submission.
